What photos can I use?
The quality of the MEMORYweave™ woven product, of course, will be most influenced by the quality of the digital photo you send. So please note the following guidelines for optimum results.

If you have any questions, we'll be happy to take a look at the image you want to use, before you place your order, for FREE. Also, if we have any questions after receiving your order, we will contact you via email or phone.

Digital Photos.
At this time, we can only weave images that are uploaded to us digitally. Pictures should be at least 2 Megapixels at 300dpi.

High Contrast.
For best results, use a high contrast photo. If there is good distinction between the lights and darks, and good detail in the subject, your woven blanket will turn out great. For example: a black dog on a black couch will generally not work well; neither will a white dog on a white or cream-colored background.

Large Subject Matter.
For best results, your subject should take up 60-80% of the picture area. This is not an absolute necessity, but generally makes for a better looking piece. If you would like us to crop your photo, we would be happy to. (Remember that afghan blankets, wall hangings and dog beds are rectangular products, while tote bags and pillows are more square).

Good Better Best

Color.
Try to choose a photograph with realistic coloring. If the face of the subject in the photograph is bright pink, chances are that your MEMORYweave™ product will not look as realistic as you hope. Try to pick a photo with good skin tones and nice colors, and one that is not too faded. We'll do some minor color corrections and tone enhancements. For the most part, however, what you send is what you'll receive. The higher quality image you send, the happier you'll be with the finished product.

Focus.
Make sure the photo you send is in focus. We can do some minor sharpening but a crisp image will always work best!

Can I send a Black and White photo?
Absolutely! We can make a Memoryweave from your Black and White image!

How long will it take?
MEMORYweave™ woven products- In general, 4-6 weeks, but orders are most often delivered much more quickly. A lot depends on time of year and the number of orders we have.

MEMORYweave™ printed products- typically ship within 7 days from receipt of order.

Are these products printed on the blanket?
NO! All products with a "MW" logo are true woven products!

Will the images fade?
NO! The images are woven of 100% cotton. They may be subtle fading over time, as woven fabric is not indestructible. However, these tapestry products are woven with the same process as museum tapestries that are more than 200 years old.

Are these products washable?
The afghan blankets are machine washable. We recommend cold water and tumble drying on the lowest setting. All other products need to be spot cleaned. Care instructions for each MW product are listed with that product.

Shipping.
You may select from standard shipping, 2-day or overnight. Remember, these times are in addition to the time it takes to complete production of your order. You will receive an email when your order is received and another one when your order ships, along with any tracking information. Additionally, you may receive an email after we review your order, if we have any questions.

Discounts and Specials.
We periodically run unadvertised specials or discounts on our products. These specials are sent out as e-promos when you sign up for our email specials on the front page.

Privacy Policy.
We do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly at memoryweave.com. If you are a casual, unregistered visitor to our site, we'll recognize your home server (e.g., that your web access is through AOL.com), but not your email address or any other personal or system information.
We do ship all of our MEMORYweave™ products through the mail, so if you want to order our products, it will be necessary for you to provide personally identifiable information. This will include your name, address, phone number and, if you place an order online, credit card information. Any information you provide is downloaded from the web server to a secure system and is maintained there.

Our Customer List.
When you purchase items from our online catalog or sign up for our email-only specials, your name is added to our customer list. We will not share your email address with any third parties at any time. If you prefer not to receive mailings from us, please advise us by email and include your name and email address. We will promptly remove your name from our list.

Cookies.
Like most companies, we use "cookies" (small pieces of information stored on your computer) on certain parts of our web site. The cookie allows us to manage your session. This is necessary to ensure that we keep your order together while you browse through the catalog and select items for purchase. We do not use the cookie to collect any type of personal information, and the cookie doesn't extract any information from your computer.

Security Online.
When ordering a product we use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption method on all secure submissions. This method is generally accepted to ensure that the transmission of personal information, such as account numbers and credit card information, is secure. The most common browsers, Netscape and Internet Explorer, make it very obvious when information is being passed in a secure manner by showing either a completed key or a closed lock on the screen.

We can take your logo and MEMORYweave™ it onto any of our woven products.
Discounts ARE available for multiple orders of the same image. MEMORYweaves are great for corporations, as well as churches, temples, Scouting organizations, non-profits, golf courses, and schools.
